Description

This track spotlight fits standard single-circuit track systems and houses a GU10 bulb (sold separately) behind a ribbed black aluminium body with an adjustable head. The cylindrical housing features vertical external ribbing for heat dissipation, and the spotlight rotates and tilts on a two-axis gimbal mounted to a rectangular track adaptor. Maximum 10W GU10 bulb capacity allows use with both LED and halogen sources.

Designed for retail displays, gallery walls, kitchen worktop task lighting and home offices where directed accent or task light is needed on a flexible track system. The spotlight head can be angled to highlight artwork, merchandise or architectural features, and repositioned along the track without re-wiring. The black finish sits discreetly against dark ceilings or creates contrast against white ceilings in contemporary schemes. IP20 rating makes it suitable for dry interior locations only.

The aluminium construction keeps weight to a minimum while the ribbed exterior increases surface area for passive cooling when used with higher-wattage halogen GU10s. The track adaptor fits most single-circuit two-wire track systems sold in the UK, including other track components and compatible third-party track. The spotlight measures approximately 120mm in length from the track adaptor to the lamp aperture when angled straight down.

What bulb does it take?

The spotlight takes a standard GU10 bulb up to 10W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 5-7W warm white LED GU10 for accent lighting, or a 10W version for task lighting over kitchen worktops.

Is it compatible with all track systems?

The spotlight fits standard single-circuit two-wire track systems. It is compatible with track components and most third-party track sold in the UK. Three-wire or four-wire multi-circuit track systems are not compatible with this adaptor.

Can the head be adjusted once installed?

Yes. The spotlight head rotates 360 degrees around the vertical axis and tilts approximately 90 degrees on the horizontal axis, allowing light to be directed to shelves, walls or worktops. The head can be repositioned by hand without tools.

Is it dimmable?

The spotlight itself is not dimmable. Dimming capability depends on the bulb used and whether the track circuit is connected to a dimmer switch. If using a dimmable LED GU10 bulb on a dimmed circuit, the bulb will respond to dimming, but the spotlight housing provides no additional dimming function.
