Description

This track lighting rail is a 1-metre black aluminium and plastic rail section designed for 48V AC track lighting systems. The recessed track profile runs flush or semi-recessed along ceilings, with copper contact rails visible in the track channel for connecting compatible track spotlights and pendant fittings. The matt black finish provides a discrete ceiling line in retail, gallery, office and residential settings where adjustable accent lighting is needed.

Designed for indoor use only with an IP20 rating, the track accepts spotlights that clip or twist-lock into the channel, allowing fittings to be positioned anywhere along the 1m length and repositioned without re-wiring. Multiple 1m sections can be joined end-to-end using compatible connectors (sold separately) to create longer runs, or combined with corner and T-junction connectors to create L-shaped or branching track layouts. The 48V AC system requires a separate driver and track power feed (sold separately), typically installed at one end of the track run.

The aluminium body dissipates heat from multiple spotlights without sagging, while the plastic end caps and internal components keep the overall weight manageable for standard ceiling fixing. The black finish integrates cleanly with dark ceilings or provides contrast against white and light-coloured ceilings, depending on the design intent. What fittings are compatible with this track?

This track accepts 48V AC track spotlights and pendant adaptors that use the same track profile. Check the fitting specifications to confirm compatibility before ordering - not all track systems use the same connector standard.

Does this include a power supply or driver?

No. The track rail is sold separately from the driver, power feed and spotlights. A 48V AC driver and track power feed connector are required to energise the rail and must be ordered separately based on the total wattage of the spotlights you plan to install.

Can multiple rails be joined together?

Yes. Multiple 1m sections can be joined end-to-end using compatible straight connectors, or combined with corner and T-junction connectors to create custom layouts. All connectors are sold separately.

Is it surface-mounted or recessed?

The track can be surface-mounted directly onto the ceiling using the fixing points along its length, or semi-recessed into a ceiling channel if a flush finish is needed. Surface mounting is more common in retrofit installations.
