Description

This track lighting component is a pendant adaptor for the Live Parts 24V DC track system, allowing a track-mounted spotlight or fitting to be suspended on a flexible cable rather than fixed directly to the track rail. The unit comprises a black aluminium track connector at the ceiling, a flexible black cable drop, and a cylindrical black aluminium housing at the pendant end with the electrical socket for attaching compatible track heads.

Designed for retail, gallery, hospitality and residential spaces using the Live Parts track system, the pendant adaptor creates flexible positioning of directional spotlights over counters, tables, artwork or feature areas where a fixed track-mounted spotlight would be too close to the ceiling or unable to achieve the desired angle. The cable length and pendant position allow the attached spotlight to be directed at steeper angles or positioned lower than the track rail itself.

The black aluminium construction matches the finish of the Live Parts track rail and other system components, maintaining a consistent appearance across the installation. The adaptor is rated IP20 for indoor use only and operates on the 24V DC supply provided by the track system. Does this component include a light source?

No. This is a pendant adaptor for the Live Parts track system. It carries no bulb, LED or lamp of its own. You must attach a separate track spotlight or lamp head to the pendant socket in order to produce light.

What track system is it compatible with?

This adaptor is designed for the Live Parts 24V DC track lighting system. It will not fit standard mains-voltage track systems or other manufacturers' low-voltage tracks without verification of compatibility.

Can the cable length be adjusted?

The cable is supplied at a fixed length. If a shorter drop is needed, the cable can be looped and tied off behind the ceiling rose, but this should be done by a qualified electrician to avoid damaging the internal conductors.

Is it suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use?

No. The IP20 rating means this component is suitable for dry indoor areas only. It is not splash-proof and must not be installed in bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or any outdoor location.
