Description

The Flarity suspension rod is a 1m black aluminium component designed to suspend track lighting rails from ceiling canopies, allowing track systems to be installed as pendants rather than flush ceiling-mounted. The rod connects at one end to a standard track ceiling canopy and at the other end to the track rail itself, with internal wiring channels carrying 24V DC power through the length of the rod.

Used in residential and commercial installations where track lighting needs to hang below a high ceiling or to create a defined lighting zone over a counter, island or reception desk, the suspension rod allows track rails to be positioned 1m below the ceiling fixing point. Multiple rods can be used to create different rail heights across a space, or to route track systems around structural obstacles. The component suits 's 24V track lighting range and requires a compatible ceiling canopy and transformer (sold separately).

The black aluminium finish matches 's black track rail and fitting components, giving a continuous matt black line from ceiling to rail. The rod is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only and is not dimmable on its own - dimming capability depends on the transformer and track spotlights used in the complete system. The aluminium construction keeps the weight low while maintaining rigidity when supporting populated track rails.

Can multiple rods be used to create longer drops?

No. The 1m length is fixed and cannot be extended by connecting multiple rods end-to-end. If a drop longer than 1m is needed, contact or check if longer suspension rod variants are available in their track system components range.

Does the rod carry the track's electrical supply?

Yes. The rod contains internal wiring channels that carry 24V DC power from the ceiling canopy to the track rail below, so no external cables are visible once the system is installed.

Is it suitable for outdoor or bathroom use?
