Description

The Flarity live end feed is a ceiling-mounted power entry point for 24V DC track lighting systems, finished in black powder-coated aluminium. The cylindrical housing contains the electrical connection between the mains supply cable and the track rail, feeding power into the track system from a fixed ceiling position.

Designed for use with 's modular track lighting range, the live end feed allows the track to start from a ceiling rose or junction box rather than requiring a wall-mounted driver at one end of the run. The compact 100mm canopy and pendant drop fit standard UK ceiling roses and conceal the cable run inside the drop tube. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments - living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, offices and retail spaces with no direct water exposure.

The black aluminium finish matches 's black track rail and spotlight heads, creating a cohesive monochrome system when all components share the same finish. The cylindrical form factor measures approximately 40mm diameter at the pendant body, keeping the visual weight minimal on open ceilings. Installation requires connection to a 24V DC driver positioned elsewhere in the circuit - typically in a ceiling void or adjacent cupboard - with the driver itself connected to 230V mains.

Is this compatible with standard ceiling wiring?

The live end feed connects to a 24V DC supply, not directly to 230V mains. A separate DC driver (sold separately) must be installed between the mains supply and this feed point. The driver converts 230V AC mains down to 24V DC for the track system.

What track system does it work with?

This component is designed for 's 24V DC modular track lighting range. It is not compatible with mains-voltage track systems or other manufacturers' low-voltage tracks without checking rail profile compatibility.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means this component offers basic protection against solid objects but no protection against water ingress. It must only be installed in dry indoor locations with no risk of water splashes or high humidity.

Can the track be dimmed?

The feed itself is not dimmable, but dimming capability depends on the DC driver used upstream in the circuit. If the driver supports dimming and the track spotlights are dimmable LED units, the entire system can be dimmed via a compatible wall dimmer or control system.
