Description

The Tenity is a 1000mm recessed track lighting rail finished in matt black with four copper-toned live contact points visible along the length. The rail is designed to be recessed into plasterboard ceilings using a corresponding mounting channel, leaving only the narrow black face visible once installed. Magnetic track heads attach directly to the live rail contacts, allowing lighting positions to be adjusted along the track without tools or re-wiring.

Designed for contemporary residential and commercial interiors where directional lighting is needed without visible surface-mounted track hardware, the recessed rail system suits kitchens, retail spaces, galleries, hallways and living areas with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The 1000mm length works as a single run above a worktop or kitchen island, or multiple rails can be joined end-to-end using linking connectors to create longer runs. Compatible magnetic track heads (sold separately) click into position anywhere along the rail and rotate 360° once attached.

The matt black finish on the aluminium housing gives a low-profile appearance against white or dark ceilings, with the copper live contacts providing a warm metallic accent visible only when looking directly at the rail. The recessed installation requires a corresponding plasterboard channel (sold separately) cut into the ceiling void, with the rail then clipped into the channel and wired to mains power via a driver or junction box concealed above the ceiling line. The system carries CE certification and is rated for mains 230V operation.

Frequently Asked

What track heads are compatible?

The rail accepts magnetic track heads from the track lighting range designed for this recessed system. The heads attach magnetically to the copper contact points and can be repositioned along the rail without disconnecting power. Check compatibility before purchasing track heads separately.

How is the rail installed?

The rail requires a corresponding recessed mounting channel cut into the plasterboard ceiling. The channel is fixed into the ceiling void, then the live rail clips into the channel and is wired to mains power via a driver or junction box concealed above the ceiling. Professional electrical installation is recommended.

Can multiple rails be joined?

Yes. Multiple 1000mm rails can be connected end-to-end using linking connectors (sold separately) to create longer track runs. The linking connectors maintain electrical continuity between rails.

What ceiling void depth is needed?

The recessed installation requires sufficient ceiling void depth to accommodate the mounting channel, the rail housing, and the wiring connections above the ceiling line. A minimum 100mm void depth is typically required, but check the mounting channel specification before cutting into the ceiling.
