Description

The Seki vase brings a hand-thrown character to a shelf, sideboard or mantel. Its stoneware body pairs a speckled cream glaze with a band of dark vertical striping around the base, while two rounded lug handles sit at the shoulder in a deep charcoal tone. The dimpled surface across the neck adds a tactile, artisanal quality that reads as genuinely handmade.

Standing 210mm tall, this is a small vase suited to short stems, dried grasses or seed heads. The wide, tapered form gives it a grounded presence, so it holds its own even when left empty as a sculptural object. The contrast between the pale body and the inked linework keeps the look grounded and earthy rather than fussy.

Made from stoneware with a partial glaze, the Seki works well grouped with plainer ceramics or standing alone on a study desk or living room shelf. Its organic, slightly irregular shape suits homes that favour natural materials and a relaxed, tactile finish over polished symmetry.

Frequently Asked

What is the Seki vase made from?

It is made from stoneware, a durable fired clay finished with a speckled cream glaze and dark striped detailing around the base.

How tall is this vase?

It stands 210mm tall with a 170mm width and depth, making it a small, grounded piece for short stems or dried arrangements.

Can I use it with fresh flowers and water?

It suits short fresh stems, though we recommend checking the interior glaze first; it is equally happy holding dried grasses or seed heads.

How do I clean it?

Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive scourers so the glaze and striped detail stay intact.

Is each vase identical?

As a hand-finished stoneware piece, slight variation in glaze speckle and striping is normal and part of its handmade character.
