Description

The Seoul spiral pendant light features four stacked translucent alabaster tiers arranged in a helical configuration, suspended from a cylindrical white metal canopy. An integrated 14W 3000K LED sits within the structure, casting 1700 lumens through the stone with a 120° beam angle that distributes warm light throughout the fitting's height.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls where both ambient and decorative lighting is needed, the vertical structure provides diffuse illumination without harsh downward glare. The spiral arrangement of the tiers creates shadow patterns on surrounding walls when lit, adding visual interest beyond the direct light output. The white metal canopy and cable run suit 2.4m+ ceiling heights and fit standard UK ceiling roses.

Each alabaster tier shows natural tonal variation and translucency depending on the stone section it was cut from, so individual pendants vary slightly in appearance when lit. The 14W LED at 3000K produces warm white light comparable to traditional halogen but at lower energy consumption. The fitting carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor use and a CRI of 80, which reproduces most colours accurately for residential and hospitality settings.

Is this pendant dimmable?

No. The integrated 14W LED is not compatible with dimmer switches. The light output is fixed at 1700 lumens once switched on.

What ceiling height is needed?

The spiral structure is approximately 600-700mm tall based on the image. For dining table or kitchen island use, where the pendant typically hangs 700-800mm above the surface, a ceiling height of 2.4m or above is recommended. Lower ceilings may still work if the drop is shortened during installation.

Does the alabaster vary between pieces?

Yes. Each tier is cut from natural alabaster, so tonal variation, veining and translucency differ between individual fittings. This is characteristic of the natural material, not a defect.

What is the beam angle used for?

The 120° beam angle describes how widely the LED distributes light through the alabaster tiers. A 120° angle provides broad, diffuse illumination rather than a focused spotlight effect, making the fitting suitable for general ambient lighting.
