Description

The Basic Texture marble globe pendant light features a spherical shade cut from natural white marble with grey veining, suspended on a black fabric-covered cable from a matt black ceiling rose. The globe houses a single E27 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately), with light diffusing through the translucent marble and also escaping through an opening at the base of the sphere.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and hallways, the pendant provides ambient light with decorative presence from the natural stone. The cable length is adjustable on installation, allowing the globe to hang at the appropriate height for the room. The matt black ceiling rose and cable provide contrast against the white marble and suit both contemporary and industrial interior styles.

Each marble shade shows different veining patterns and tonal variation depending on the section of stone it was cut from, so no two pendants appear identical. The stone is rated for indoor use only at IP20, and the 50W maximum lamp rating accommodates standard LED, halogen or filament E27 bulbs. The white marble works in rooms with both warm and cool colour palettes, and the matt black hardware anchors the fitting visually without dominating the space.

What bulb does it take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 50W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W for ambient dining or hallway lighting.

Does the marble vary between pieces?

Yes. Each globe is cut from natural white marble, so the grey veining patterns and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. This is a characteristic of natural stone.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself is not dimmable. If you wish to dim the light output, you would need to use a dimmable LED bulb paired with a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit, though this may not function reliably as the fitting is not explicitly rated for dimming.

Can it be used in bathrooms?
