Description

The Antic ribbed glass pendant light combines a fluted amber glass dome with a cylindrical ribbed glass stem, connected by a spherical satin gold collar. It takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W (not included), casting warm light through the ribbed amber glass which diffuses and softens the output while creating vertical light patterns on the dome surface.

Designed for dining tables, breakfast bars and kitchen islands where decorative and ambient lighting are both needed, the pendant hangs from a satin gold canopy on a fabric-covered suspension cable. The ribbed texture on both the dome and stem catches light from multiple angles, creating visual interest when viewed from below or from the side. A warm white 2700K bulb suits the amber glass best and gives broad light distribution over a 1.2 to 1.5m dining table or a 1m section of kitchen worktop.

The amber glass tint warms the light further, giving a soft golden glow that suits traditional, mid-century and warm contemporary interiors. The satin gold metalwork provides a muted accent that pairs with brass, bronze and copper tones without competing for attention. The combined glass dome and stem give the fitting visual weight without overwhelming smaller dining spaces or low ceilings. The IP20 rating limits the pendant to dry indoor locations only.

Does it include a bulb?

No. The pendant takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W, supplied separately, so you can choose the brightness and colour temperature to suit. A 2700K warm white bulb best complements the amber glass.

Can it be used with a dimmer switch?

Yes, provided you fit a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. A standard non-dimmable bulb should be used with a normal on/off switch.

What ceiling height works best?

The pendant suits standard 2.4m ceiling heights when hung 700-800mm above a dining table or worktop. The suspension cable is adjustable on installation to suit different ceiling heights and table configurations.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the pendant is suitable for dry indoor locations only. Bathrooms require IP44 minimum for zones around baths and showers.
