Description

The Bruma egg-shaped pendant light pairs a large ovoid glass diffuser with a polished chrome canopy and a single-cable suspension. An integrated 19W LED inside the glass shell provides 2500 lumens at 2700K, casting warm white light through the mottled amber and cream glass. The glass surface shows vertical striations that diffuse the light softly across 120 degrees.

Designed for dining tables, breakfast bars and kitchen islands, the pendant suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or above where the drop allows the glass egg to sit 700-850mm above the surface. The polished chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and conceals the cable run. The 19W LED is dimmable when paired with compatible trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmers, allowing output to be adjusted from full brightness down to a low ambient level for evening use.

The mottled amber glass transitions from darker tones at the top to lighter cream near the base, giving the pendant a graduated appearance when lit. The glass itself acts as the diffuser, so no separate shade or baffle is needed. The chrome finish on the canopy reflects surrounding colours and pairs with both warm-toned and cooler contemporary interiors. The pendant weighs approximately 1.2kg once fitted, suitable for standard plasterboard ceilings with appropriate fixings.

The LED is integrated into the fitting. It is rated at 19W and provides approximately 25,000 hours of use under normal operating conditions. The LED is not user-replaceable, but the entire fitting can be replaced when the LED reaches end of life.

What dimmer type is compatible?

The integrated LED is dimmable with trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmers. recommend testing compatibility with your specific dimmer model before installation, as performance varies between manufacturers. Most modern LED-compatible dimmers work reliably with this fitting.

What ceiling height is needed?

The pendant works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, allowing the glass egg to hang 700-850mm above a dining table or kitchen island. Lower ceilings can accommodate the pendant if the cable is shortened during fitting, but clearance below 2.3m may feel cramped.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating means the fitting is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It is not rated for bathroom zones or outdoor use where moisture is present.
