Description

The Shadows of the past sculptural brass pendant light features a curved wire-form cage constructed from brass-finished metal rods arranged in a flowing, asymmetrical profile. An integrated 20W LED module sits inside the cage, delivering 1400 lumens of 3000K warm white light through the open metalwork. The brass finish has a polished quality that catches light across the curved surfaces of each rod.

Designed for dining areas, kitchen islands and stairwells where a statement pendant can hang unobstructed, the sculptural form works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above to allow the full profile to be appreciated from below. The open cage design means the light spreads in all directions with a 360-degree beam angle, providing both ambient illumination and a decorative focal point. The brass canopy at the top conceals the ceiling rose connection and the cable run.

The wire-form construction gives the pendant a lighter visual weight than a solid metal shade, making it suitable for smaller dining tables and kitchen islands where a bulkier fitting might overpower the space. The polished brass finish pairs with warm-toned interiors, exposed brick, timber furniture and classical metalwork, while the modern sculptural form prevents it reading as traditional. The integrated LED is non-replaceable but rated for 25,000+ hours of typical use.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 20W LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The module is rated for 25,000+ hours of typical use, which equates to approximately 15-20 years at average residential use patterns.

Can this pendant be dimmed?

No. The integrated LED driver is not compatible with dimmer switches. Installing this pendant on a dimmed circuit may cause flickering or damage to the driver.

What ceiling height is needed?

The sculptural form works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, allowing the pendant to hang at a comfortable height above a dining table or island without the bottom of the cage sitting too low. For standard 2.4m ceilings, the pendant can still be fitted but may require shortening the cable drop during installation.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is not protected against moisture or water ingress. It is designed for dry indoor use only and should not be installed in bathrooms, shower rooms or other wet or damp environments.
