The Basic Texture black marble-effect globe pendant light features a spherical shade with a high-gloss black marble-textured finish on metal construction. The globe houses a single E27 fitting rated to 50W maximum, suspended on black braided flex from a matching black metal ceiling canopy. The marble-effect surface shows subtle veining and tonal variation across the black base, giving depth under both natural and artificial light.

Designed for dining areas, kitchen islands, bedside positions and entrance halls, the globe pendant works as both a single feature over a small table or in multiples along a longer kitchen island or bar counter. The compact spherical form concentrates light downward through the lower aperture while the upper section reflects ambient light back onto the ceiling. The pendant suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, with the flex typically cut to position the globe 700-900mm above a surface depending on room proportions.

The metal construction carries an IP20 rating for indoor dry-room use only - not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor applications. The marble-effect finish is applied to the metal substrate rather than being natural stone, giving consistent appearance and lighter weight than solid marble while maintaining the visual depth of natural veining. What bulb does it take?

The pendant takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 50W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for general ambient lighting, or a higher-output LED for task lighting over dining or work surfaces.

Is the pendant dimmable?

The fixture itself is rated as non-dimmable according to the specification. If you wish to use a dimmable bulb with this pendant, you would need to confirm compatibility with the specific bulb and dimmer switch combination, as the fixture wiring may not support dimming control.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the pendant is suitable for indoor dry rooms only. Bathrooms require IP44 minimum for zone 2 (outside the shower/bath area) and higher ratings for zones 1 and 0. This pendant should be installed in living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways or kitchens away from direct water sources.

Is the marble real stone?

No. The marble effect is a textured finish applied to the metal substrate. This gives the visual appearance of natural black marble with veining, but at a lighter weight and with consistent patterning across production batches. The high-gloss coating provides depth and reflectivity similar to polished natural stone.
