Description

The Bangkok pendant light combines three stacked amber glass elements - a top sphere, middle bulbous section, and lower dome shade - suspended on a matt black downrod from a matching black cylindrical surface-mount canopy. An integrated 12W LED inside the glass stack produces 1300 lumens at 3000K through the amber glass, casting warm tones onto surfaces below.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and bar counters where focused downlight is needed without ambient spill, the pendant directs its beam through the dome shade at a 120° angle. The cylindrical canopy sits flush to the ceiling or ceiling rose without requiring a traditional pendant hook, making it suitable for both concrete and plasterboard ceilings with adequate fixing support. The glass elements diffuse the LED source, softening the light while maintaining directional throw.

The amber glass tint adds warmth to the 3000K colour temperature, making the output feel closer to 2700K when viewed directly. Each glass element is hand-blown, so minor variations in thickness, tint and bubble distribution occur between individual units. The matt black metalwork contrasts with the warm glass tones and pairs well with contemporary and industrial interiors using exposed metal, dark timber and neutral palettes. The pendant carries an IP20 rating, limiting it to dry indoor locations only.

The integrated LED is non-replaceable and non-dimmable. At 12W input and 1300 lumens output, the lamp provides focused task lighting for work surfaces approximately 700-900mm below the shade, typically positioned 600-800mm above a worktop or dining surface depending on ceiling height.

Is this pendant dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. The lamp operates at full 1300 lumens output when powered, with no dimming capability.

Can the LED be replaced when it fails?

The LED module is integrated into the glass assembly and is not user-replaceable. integrated LED pendants are rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of operation before failure.

What drop length does it have?

The visible downrod and glass stack combine to give an overall drop from ceiling to bottom of shade. Contact us for the exact total drop measurement if ceiling height is a concern for your installation.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating limits this pendant to dry indoor locations only. It cannot be installed in bathrooms, wetrooms, or any area subject to moisture or steam.
