This pendant light pairs a white fabric drum shade with matt black metal canopy and suspension rod. The shade is a double-layered cylinder, approximately 500mm in diameter, with an E27 bulb fitting mounted centrally inside the drum. The fabric diffuses light evenly in all directions while the white inner surface maximises output efficiency.

Designed for living rooms, dining areas and bedroom applications where soft ambient light is needed, the pendant suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or above with the shade positioned 700-900mm above a table surface or 1.8-2m from floor level in open-plan spaces. The black canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the rod conceals the cable run cleanly.

The fabric shade is stretched over a metal frame that maintains the drum profile under its own tension without sagging or distortion. What bulb does it take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 8-12W and 2700K-3000K for ambient dining or living room lighting.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself is not dimmable. Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb you install - if you use a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible dimmer switch, the light output can be controlled. Consult the bulb manufacturer's specifications before pairing with a dimmer.

Can the fabric shade be cleaned?

The white fabric shade can be dusted gently with a soft brush or dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fabric and test on an inconspicuous area first. Do not use household sprays or chemical cleaners.

What room size does it suit?

The 500mm diameter shade suits dining tables up to 1.8m long, living rooms up to 20m², and bedrooms up to 16m² when used as the primary light source. In larger spaces the pendant works well as zoned lighting above a seating area or dining table rather than sole ambient lighting.
