Description

The Bangkok is an LED pendant light combining two stacked amber glass shades - a shallow bowl above, a deeper dome below - on a central matt black metal stem suspended from a cylindrical black canopy. An integrated 12W LED sits between the two glass sections, casting 1300 lumens of warm 3000K light down through the lower dome and up through the upper bowl.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and bar counters, the Bangkok provides focused downlight for task areas while the amber glass adds decorative interest when viewed from the side. The total drop is adjustable on installation by trimming the suspension cable inside the canopy, allowing the pendant to be set 700-900mm above a worktop or dining surface depending on ceiling height. The 120° beam angle from the integrated LED covers a circular work area approximately 1.2-1.5m in diameter when hung at typical heights.

The amber glass tone warms the 3000K light output further, creating a honeyed glow against the matt black metalwork. The cylindrical canopy measures approximately 50mm diameter and houses the driver and cable connection, fitting standard UK ceiling roses. The non-dimmable driver is rated at 220-240V 50Hz and the entire fitting carries an IP20 rating, making it suitable for dry interior locations only.

Is the Bangkok dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. The pendant operates at full 1300lm output when powered on.

What is the total drop length?

The suspension cable length is adjustable during installation by trimming inside the canopy. Most installations set the pendant 700-900mm above the surface it illuminates, which suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or above.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is not protected against moisture ingress and must only be used in dry interior locations away from water zones.

What colour is the light output?

The integrated LED is rated at 3000K, which produces warm white light. The amber glass shades filter this further, adding a honeyed tone to the light as it passes through the glass.
