Description

The Rim is an 800mm LED ring pendant light with a matt black aluminium frame housing an integrated 51W LED module. The circular form emits 1,573 lumens of 3000K warm white light through a diffuser running along the inner face of the ring, providing direct downward illumination over dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living areas.

The pendant is suspended on three steel cables from a matching matt black ceiling rose and is designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, where the ring can sit 700-900mm above the surface it's lighting. The 800mm diameter provides balanced coverage over tables up to 1,800mm long without overlighting smaller surfaces. The dimmable LED integrates with most leading-edge and trailing-edge dimmers, allowing output to be adjusted from full brightness down to a low ambient setting.

The matt black aluminium frame has a low-sheen powder-coated finish that resists fingerprints and blends into dark ceilings when not lit. The 120-degree beam angle distributes light broadly beneath the ring rather than creating a tight pool, which suits both task and ambient applications. At 51W the fitting draws less power than equivalent halogen ring pendants while delivering comparable output, and the aluminium construction keeps the overall weight manageable for standard UK ceiling fixing points.

What size dining table does the 800mm diameter suit?

An 800mm ring provides balanced lighting over tables up to 1,800mm long. For larger tables consider running two rings in series, or moving up to a 1,000mm or 1,200mm variant if available in the range.

What ceiling height is needed?

The pendant works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, allowing the ring to be suspended 700-900mm above the table or work surface. Lower ceilings can still accommodate the fitting if the cable length is shortened during installation.

Can the colour temperature be changed?

No. The LED module is factory-set to 3000K warm white. Some variants in the Rim range offer 4000K neutral white - check the specification or contact us if a different colour temperature is required.
