Description

The Rim is a 600mm diameter LED ring pendant built from matt black aluminium with an integrated 36W LED strip that runs along the inner edge of the halo. The light source produces 1152 lumens at 3000K, casting downward and outward light that illuminates dining tables, kitchen islands and work surfaces below whilst also bouncing ambient light off the ceiling above.

Designed for dining areas, open-plan kitchens and living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the ring pendant works as primary lighting over a table or as accent lighting in larger rooms. The pendant hangs on two thin steel suspension cables from a round black ceiling canopy, allowing height adjustment during installation. The 600mm ring diameter suits tables between 1.2m and 1.8m long without overwhelming smaller spaces.

The matt black aluminium frame has a low-sheen finish that minimises reflections and pairs well with contemporary, minimalist and industrial interiors. The integrated LED is dimmable when paired with a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer, allowing light levels to be adjusted between full output for task work and low ambient levels for evening dining. The aluminium construction keeps the pendant lightweight at approximately 1.8kg despite the 600mm ring span.

Is this pendant dimmable?

Yes. The integrated LED is dimmable when paired with a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer. Confirm dimmer compatibility before installation, as not all dimmers work with all LED drivers.

What table size does it suit?

The 600mm diameter ring works well over dining tables between 1.2m and 1.8m long. For larger tables, consider clustering multiple rings or choosing a larger diameter pendant from the same range.

How low should it hang above a table?

For dining tables, position the pendant 700-800mm above the table surface. This provides good task light without obstructing sightlines across the table. The suspension cables can be adjusted during installation to achieve the correct drop for your ceiling height.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the pendant is not sealed against moisture and must not be used in bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor installations. It is suitable only for dry indoor environments.
