Description

The Pro Focus Tube is a 300mm cylindrical pendant light with a matt black aluminium body housing a single GU10 downlight fitting. The narrow tube form directs light downward in a focused beam, making it task-oriented rather than ambient. The fitting accepts any standard GU10 bulb up to 6W (sold separately), allowing control over beam angle and colour temperature depending on the chosen bulb.

Designed for kitchen islands, bar counters, commercial retail displays and reception desks where directed task light is needed from above, the Tube works as a single pendant or in rows of two to five depending on worktop length. The 300mm tube length suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, with the pendant typically positioned 700-900mm above the work surface. The black cable-and-canopy suspension is adjustable on installation, allowing the drop to be shortened where ceiling heights are lower.

The matt black aluminium finish provides a low-reflectivity surface that sits comfortably in industrial, contemporary and minimalist interiors. At approximately 0.4kg the pendant is light enough for single-point ceiling fixings without requiring additional support. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only - this fitting is not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor installations.

What bulb does it take?

The Tube takes a standard GU10 bulb up to 6W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose a GU10 LED in 4-6W and 3000K for warm white task lighting over worktops.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself is not dimmable. If dimming is required, choose a dimmable GU10 LED bulb and pair with a compatible GU10 dimmer switch on the circuit.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only. For bathroom installation an IP44 or higher rated fitting is required.

How many pendants are needed for a kitchen island?

One pendant provides focused task light over approximately 600-800mm of worktop. For a typical 1500-2000mm kitchen island, two or three Tube pendants spaced 600-700mm apart provide even coverage.
