Description

The Namiki wood slat pendant light combines a natural birch cage formed from curved wooden ribs with a matt black metal canopy and cable suspension. An integrated 14W LED inside the cage provides 388 lumens at 3000K, casting warm light through the slatted structure onto surrounding surfaces while the wood itself acts as a partial diffuser.

Designed for dining tables, breakfast bars and kitchen islands in Scandinavian, mid-century and contemporary interiors, the pendant suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher where the cage can be suspended 700-800mm above the table surface. The wooden slat construction filters the light into striped shadows and soft wash patterns, making it a feature over a 4-6 seater dining table or a single-pendant treatment over a kitchen island up to 1.5m wide.

The birch ribs are secured at top and bottom onto metal rings, with the slats spaced to allow light to escape laterally while concealing the LED source from most viewing angles. The black metal canopy houses the driver and mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose. The cage diameter of approximately 350mm provides presence without dominating smaller dining areas, and the natural wood grain varies between individual pieces depending on the section of timber used.

Is the LED dimmable?

No. The integrated 14W LED is non-dimmable and runs on standard 220-240V mains power. The driver is housed in the black metal canopy above the wooden cage.

What colour temperature is the light?

The LED is available in three colour temperatures: 2700K (warm white), 3000K (soft white), or 4000K (neutral white). The 3000K variant is most commonly stocked for dining and kitchen applications. Check the product SKU or contact us to confirm which variant this listing refers to.

Can the wooden cage be cleaned?

Dust the birch slats with a dry microfibre cloth or soft brush. The natural wood is unsealed, so avoid wet cleaning or household sprays. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable but do not soak the timber.

What ceiling height is needed?

The pendant works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, allowing the cage to be suspended 700-800mm above a dining table or kitchen island surface. Lower ceilings may still accommodate the fitting if the cable is shortened during installation.
