Description

This pendant light combines a faceted sphere shade with an integrated 6W LED module behind a black metal frame. The sphere is constructed from geometric facets that diffuse the warm 2700K light through translucent panels, creating angular shadow patterns on surrounding surfaces. The matt black metal frame wraps around the equator of the sphere, providing structural support and adding contrast to the illuminated panels.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables, and hallway drops, the pendant suits ceiling heights of 2.4m and above with a typical installation distance of 700-900mm above a worktop or table surface. The 1200mm cable drop is adjustable during fitting, and the compact 150mm diameter keeps the pendant from overwhelming smaller spaces. The 120-degree beam angle provides broad downward light distribution rather than narrow spotlight effects, making it suitable for ambient task lighting where a central ceiling rose is available.

The integrated LED runs at 650 lumens, roughly equivalent to a 50W halogen bulb output, and is dimmable with compatible trailing-edge LED dimmers. The faceted shade design creates visual interest when off as well as lit - the geometric pattern sits cleanly in contemporary, industrial and mid-century interiors. No. The 6W LED module is integrated into the pendant and is not designed to be user-replaceable. The LED has a rated lifespan of approximately 25,000-30,000 hours, which translates to around 10-15 years of typical domestic use at 5-6 hours per day.

What dimmer switch does it work with?

The integrated LED is dimmable and requires a trailing-edge or leading-edge LED-compatible dimmer. Older resistive dimmers designed for incandescent bulbs may cause flickering or buzzing. Check the dimmer packaging confirms LED compatibility before pairing.

What size table or island does it suit?

The 150mm diameter and 650 lumens suit kitchen islands or dining tables 1200-1600mm wide. For larger islands or tables, consider installing two or three pendants spaced evenly across the length.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means it is not protected against moisture ingress and must only be installed in dry indoor locations away from direct contact with water or steam.
