Description

The Maris 3-light pendant suspends three cylindrical shades from a rectangular black metal bar canopy on adjustable-length cables. Each shade is formed from sliced natural shell pieces arranged in an overlapping pattern around a metal frame, creating a warm honey-toned translucent surface when lit. The fitting takes three E14 bulbs up to 6W each, sold separately.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and breakfast bars, the three-drop configuration spreads light along the length of the bar rather than concentrating it in one spot. The bar canopy measures approximately 800mm long, so the fitting suits island lengths of 1.2-1.8m or dining tables seating four to six. Cable lengths are adjustable on installation to set the drop height according to the ceiling height and the worktop or table surface below.

The natural shell material gives each shade an unique appearance depending on how the shell pieces are arranged during construction - no two shades show identical patterning or tonal variation. The black metal canopy, cable sheathing and shade frames provide a neutral backdrop that allows the warm shell tones to stand out. The shell diffuses the light from the E14 bulbs, softening it into a warm ambient glow rather than direct downlight.
