Description

The Cambio pendant light features a spherical shade constructed from layered fabric panels in a light grey-beige tone, suspended from a black metal canopy on a black cable. The shade's segmented design creates a rippled surface that diffuses light through the fabric layers while casting subtle shadow patterns onto surrounding surfaces. The fitting takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately) and operates on standard 230V mains.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands, and bedrooms where soft ambient light is needed without harsh glare, the fabric sphere works in spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The cable length can be adjusted during installation to position the shade 700-900mm above a table surface or 1800-2000mm above floor level for general room lighting. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments only.

The fabric panels are formed from compressed felt-like material that softens the light output while maintaining structural rigidity in the spherical form. The shade diameter measures approximately 350mm, making it suitable for single-pendant installation over a 4-6 person dining table or paired in multiples over longer kitchen islands. The black metal canopy and cable provide a contemporary contrast to the soft neutral tone of the fabric, fitting both Scandinavian-influenced interiors and warmer traditional schemes.

What bulb does it take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to complement the soft fabric diffusion.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself is not dimmable. Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb chosen. If you install a dimmable LED bulb and connect it to a compatible dimmer switch on the mains circuit, dimming is possible, but this is not guaranteed by the manufacturer.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means this pendant is suitable for dry indoor environments only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, kitchens directly above sinks or hobs, or any other location where moisture or splashing water is present.

How is the fabric shade cleaned?

The fabric panels attract dust over time. Use a soft brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner set to low suction, or gently wipe with a dry microfibre cloth. Avoid damp cleaning as the fabric may absorb moisture and discolour.
