Description

The Basis linear LED pendant is a 1.2m suspended luminaire built around a slim black aluminium extrusion housing an integrated 36W LED strip at 2700K with a 90 CRI rating. The LED casts light downwards through a 100° beam angle, providing even task light coverage across kitchen islands, dining tables and office desks without creating the pool-and-shadow effect typical of multi-bulb pendants.

Designed for ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the pendant suits modern kitchens, open-plan dining areas and commercial workspaces where continuous lighting is preferred over individual spot sources. The fixture is dimmable, allowing output to be adjusted from full task brightness during meal preparation to softer ambient levels for dining. The cable and suspension hardware are concealed within the aluminium housing, presenting as a clean horizontal line when viewed from below.

The black powder-coated aluminium finish absorbs rather than reflects ambient light, making the fitting itself recede visually while the emitted light remains the focal element. At 36W the LED delivers substantial output without drawing the wattage typical of traditional fluorescent tube equivalents, and the 90 CRI ensures accurate colour rendering across food, textiles and printed materials beneath the fixture. The IP20 rating confirms the pendant as suitable for indoor dry locations only.
