Description

The Velora is an 8W LED outdoor wall sconce built around a circular brown aluminium backplate with an integrated LED module projecting through a frosted diffuser lens. The fitting delivers 420 lumens at 3000K colour temperature through a 110° beam angle, casting warm white light across patio walls, garden paths and entrance doorways.

Rated to IP54, the Velora is protected against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for use on exterior walls under eaves, covered porches, and in gardens with overhead shelter. The brown powder-coated aluminium finish resists corrosion and fading under UK weather conditions. The circular form and compact 150mm diameter suit modern and minimalist outdoor schemes where discreet, functional lighting is needed without ornamental detail.

The integrated 8W LED module is non-dimmable and runs directly on 220-240V AC mains, requiring no external driver or transformer. The Velora carries an IP54 rating, meaning it is protected against dust and water splashes from any direction. It suits walls under eaves, covered porches and garden walls with overhead shelter. For fully exposed positions with direct rainfall from above, an IP65-rated fitting offers stronger protection.

Can it be used in bathrooms or wet rooms?

No. IP54 is designed for outdoor use where water exposure is occasional. Bathrooms require IP44 minimum (IP65 for shower zones). This fitting is intended for external walls and gardens only.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED module is integrated into the fitting and rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of use. When the LED reaches end-of-life, the entire fitting is replaced rather than just the lamp.

What diameter is the backplate?

The circular backplate is approximately 150mm in diameter with a projection of around 80mm from the wall once installed. This compact size suits modern outdoor schemes where discrete lighting is preferred.
