Description

The Rounge is a vertical LED outdoor wall sconce with a cylindrical frosted diffuser tube held between black aluminium end caps. The integrated 12W LED delivers 600 lumens at 3000K warm white through a 130-degree beam angle, providing wide-spread illumination suitable for doorways, porches, and patio walls.

Rated IP54, the fitting resists dust ingress and water splashing from any direction, making it suitable for sheltered outdoor locations such as covered porches, verandas, and garden room walls. The vertical orientation suits installation beside doorways or centred above external sockets, with the diffuser casting light both upward and downward along the wall face. The black aluminium construction withstands outdoor exposure without corroding.

The frosted polycarbonate diffuser softens the LED output and prevents direct glare when viewed from typical approach angles. The 80 CRI rating provides natural colour rendering for outdoor surfaces and planting. At 600 lumens the light output is sufficient for safe navigation around doorways and steps without overwhelming adjacent windows or neighbouring properties. The fitting mounts on a standard UK outdoor junction box and operates on 220-240V mains without requiring a separate transformer.

Can this be used in fully exposed locations?

The IP54 rating means the fitting resists water splashing from any direction but is not waterproof against sustained spray or immersion. It suits covered porches, verandas, and sheltered garden walls. For fully exposed locations subject to driving rain, an IP65-rated fitting would be more appropriate.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 12W LED is integrated into the fitting and not user-replaceable. The LED module is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of operation, equivalent to around 11 years if used 6 hours per day.

How bright is 600 lumens?

600 lumens is roughly equivalent to a traditional 50-60W incandescent bulb. This output is sufficient for safe navigation around doorways, porches and steps, without being bright enough to cause light pollution or disturb adjacent rooms.

What colour is the light?

The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm white light similar to halogen, rather than the cooler blue-white tone of 4000K+ LEDs. This warmer tone is generally preferred for residential outdoor lighting as it appears less clinical.
