Description

The Basis 13W track light module is a rectangular black aluminium fitting designed for installation onto compatible AC 48V track lighting systems. The integrated LED produces 560 lumens at 3000K warm white, distributed through a 120° beam angle that provides general ambient light rather than narrow spotlighting. The 90 CRI rating renders colours accurately, making the module suitable for retail display, gallery lighting and residential kitchens where colour fidelity matters.

The module clips onto compatible track rails and draws 13W at 48V AC, which is lower voltage than standard mains track systems and typically requires a dedicated driver or transformer. This makes the system safer for installation in environments where multiple luminaires are mounted on accessible track, as the lower voltage reduces shock risk during maintenance. The 120° beam spread means the module works as general room lighting when multiple units are spaced along a track, rather than as accent lighting for individual objects.

This module requires a compatible AC 48V track lighting system, which is a lower-voltage system than standard mains track rails. Check that your existing track operates at 48V AC before purchasing. The module will not fit standard 230V mains track systems without an adapter rail.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 13W LED is integrated into the module housing and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of operation depending on installation conditions.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the module is suitable only for dry indoor locations with no exposure to moisture or water splash. It cannot be used in bathroom zones or other damp environments.

What is the beam angle suited for?

The 120° beam angle provides wide, diffuse light coverage rather than a focused spot. This makes the module better suited to general ambient lighting when multiple units are installed along a track, rather than accent lighting for individual artworks or objects.
