Description

The Dip is a clear plastic honeycomb lens designed to fit 15W recessed downlights. The honeycomb grid structure narrows the beam angle to 45° and reduces glare by blocking off-axis light rays, making the downlight more comfortable to view from adjacent angles while maintaining light output in the directed beam.

The lens is used in hospitality, retail and residential installations where recessed downlights need to provide focused task lighting or accent lighting without creating discomfort for people seated or standing near the fixture. The 45° beam angle suits applications like gallery picture lighting, retail shelf highlighting, kitchen worktop task lighting, and reading lights positioned above beds or armchairs.

The clear plastic construction sits inside the downlight bezel without adding visible bulk below ceiling level. The honeycomb cells are precision-moulded to maintain consistent beam control across the entire aperture, so the light pattern remains even rather than creating hotspots or dark rings. The lens is not dimmable itself but works with dimmable downlight modules where the dimming function is controlled by the LED driver.
