Description

The Power supplies DALI is a 12W constant current LED driver delivering a stable 300mA output to power compatible LED modules and fittings. Operating from 100-240V AC input, the driver regulates current to maintain consistent LED brightness and extend diode lifespan regardless of minor voltage fluctuations on the mains supply.

Designed for installation inside ceiling voids, false ceilings and behind wall panels where dry conditions are guaranteed, the driver carries an IP20 rating and is not suitable for damp or outdoor environments. The white plastic housing measures approximately 155mm x 50mm x 23mm, allowing it to fit within standard UK ceiling depths and electrical junction boxes. Wiring terminals accommodate solid or stranded conductors up to 1.5mm² gauge.

The constant current output is critical for LED modules that require fixed current rather than fixed voltage - the driver maintains 300mA across the connected load even as the forward voltage of the LED changes with temperature. This prevents thermal runaway and premature LED failure that can occur with incorrect power supplies. The driver includes short-circuit and overload protection, isolating the output if a fault is detected on the LED side of the circuit.

Can it be dimmed?

No. This driver does not support dimming control. If dimming is required, a separate dimmable constant current driver must be specified.

Where can it be installed?

The IP20 rating limits installation to dry interior locations only - ceiling voids, false ceilings, wall cavities and dry cupboards. It cannot be used in bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or any outdoor location.

What protection does it include?
