Description

The Power supplies DALI DALI constant current LED driver delivers 12W output at a fixed 300mA current, designed for multi-zone LED installations requiring DALI protocol dimming control and three independent colour temperature circuits. The driver accepts 220-240V 50Hz AC mains input and converts it to constant current DC suitable for driving up to 12W of LED load across three separate CCT zones.

Intended for recessed downlight arrays, architectural cove lighting and commercial installations where CCT tuning and DALI dimming integration are required, the driver fits into ceiling voids or behind panels with a minimum clearance of 30mm around the unit for heat dissipation. The DALI interface allows the driver to be addressed individually on a DALI bus, enabling per-driver dimming control and group zoning from a central controller or wall panel. The three-circuit design supports warm, neutral and cool white LED strips or modules on separate outputs, allowing colour temperature to be adjusted by varying the drive current to each circuit.

The white plastic enclosure measures approximately 175mm long by 45mm wide by 20mm high, with cable entry knockouts at both ends for input mains and output DC connections. IP20 rating limits use to dry interior locations only. The driver carries CE marking and is designed to operate in ambient temperatures between -20°C and +45°C without additional forced cooling. The constant current regulation maintains stable output across the full dimming range, preventing colour shift or flicker as the LED load dims.

Frequently Asked

What does constant current mean?

Constant current drivers regulate the output current (300mA in this case) rather than voltage, which is the preferred drive method for most LEDs. The driver adjusts its output voltage automatically to maintain a steady 300mA regardless of the LED load or dimming level, preventing current spikes that would shorten LED lifespan.

What is DALI and do I need it?

DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) is a two-wire lighting control protocol that allows individual drivers to be addressed and dimmed from a central controller. You need DALI compatibility if you're installing a system with a DALI controller or wall panel. If you're using standard phase-cut dimmers, this driver is not suitable.

What does three-circuit CCT mean?

The driver has three separate DC outputs, each driving a different colour temperature LED circuit (typically warm white, neutral white and cool white). By varying the current to each output, the combined light can be tuned between warm and cool tones without physically changing the LED modules.

Can this be used outdoors?

No. The IP20 rating means the driver is not protected against moisture ingress and must be installed in dry interior locations only, away from direct water contact or condensation.
