Description

The Kusama bowl brings a hand-thrown feel to a decorative ceramic piece, wrapped in rows of raised circular dots. The white glaze settles unevenly across the surface, letting darker grey tones gather in the recesses and along the rim. This gives the bowl a worn, tactile look that suits homes leaning towards a rustic or organic style.

Measuring 250mm across and 125mm tall, it holds its own as a centrepiece on a dining table, sideboard or kitchen island. Fill it with fruit, coil a length of fairy lights inside, or leave it empty so the embossed pattern reads clearly. The rounded silhouette and repeated dot motif carry a mid-century feel while staying easy to place among plainer surroundings.

Each bowl is finished by hand, so slight variation in glaze pooling and colour depth is part of the character rather than a flaw. The ceramic body feels solid and weighty, and the neutral palette works alongside wood, stone and linen textures.

Frequently Asked

What is the bowl made from?

It is made from glazed ceramic with a solid, weighty body and a raised dotted pattern around the outside.

Is the glaze meant to look uneven?

Yes. The reactive white glaze pools and gathers grey tones in the recesses, so each bowl varies slightly in colour and depth.

How do I clean it?

Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry afterwards. Avoid abrasive scourers so the glaze stays intact.

Is it food safe?

We would treat it as a decorative bowl for display, fruit or dry items rather than for serving wet food directly.

What size is it?

It measures 250mm in diameter and 125mm tall, making it a generous centrepiece size.
