Description

The Hansen Grand pairs a clear glass dome shade with an antique brass fitting, letting the bulb sit on full show. The domed glass reads as clean and simple, while the warm brass collar, chain and ceiling rose add a hint of industrial character. It is the kind of pendant that works over a kitchen island, a dining table or a hallway where you want light without a heavy footprint.

The clear glass means the fixture keeps its visual weight down, so it suits smaller rooms as well as open plans. We would fit a decorative filament bulb here to make the most of the see-through shade, as the exposed bulb becomes part of the look. The antique brass finish carries a soft, aged tone rather than a bright polish, which helps it settle alongside wood, stone and warmer palettes.

Supplied with a chain suspension, the drop can be shortened at installation to suit standard or higher ceilings. Measuring 330mm across and 450mm high, a single unit hangs neatly, and a run of two or three works well over longer surfaces. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
