Description

The Gateford Armchair is a compact upholstered chair with a clean, contemporary shape. Slim sloped arms and a single seat cushion sit above tapered dark wood legs, giving it a light, mid-century feel. The chenille-style fabric has a soft, slightly textured surface, and the loose back and seat cushions add comfort for reading, relaxing or filling a spare corner.

It comes in two colourways: a pale Natural and a deeper Charcoal, so you can keep things soft and neutral or ground a scheme with a darker tone. At 77cm wide it works well in a living room, bedroom or snug, whether used on its own or as an occasional chair alongside a larger sofa. Both options pair easily with the warm wood legs.

The frame is built from pine, plywood and beech for stability, with foam-filled cushions for support and a fabric cover over the whole piece. The legs are a solid turned wood in a dark finish. To care for it, plump the cushions regularly, vacuum the fabric with a soft brush attachment and blot any spills promptly rather than rubbing.
