Description

The Thin LED floor lamp combines a slim brass stem with an adjustable black reading head housing an integrated 14W 3000K LED. The head rotates and tilts on a concealed joint approximately one-third down from the top of the stem, allowing the 800-lumen beam to be directed towards a reading chair, desk surface or wall.

Designed as focused task lighting rather than ambient room lighting, the lamp suits reading corners, beside-sofa positions and home offices where directed light is needed without a fixed ceiling fitting. The 120° beam angle concentrates light on the task rather than scattering it broadly across the room. The weighted circular base provides stability without requiring a large footprint, making it suitable for positioning next to furniture or in tighter floor spaces.

The contrasting black and brass finish gives the lamp a contemporary profile that pairs with mid-century, modern and transitional interiors. The aluminium construction keeps the overall weight manageable while the brass stem resists surface wear. Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 14W LED is integrated into the lamp head and rated for approximately 25,000 hours of use. This translates to around 10 years at typical residential usage (6-7 hours per day). The entire lamp head would need replacing at end of life.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes. The lamp is compatible with most leading-edge and trailing-edge dimmers. Dimming control is via a wall-mounted dimmer switch rather than an inline or on-lamp control. Test compatibility with your specific dimmer model before installation if precise dimming range is critical.

What height does the reading head reach?

The head sits approximately one-third down from the top of the slim brass stem. Based on typical floor lamp proportions this places the head at roughly 1.3-1.4m above floor level, suitable for directing light over the shoulder of a seated reader.

Is the base weighted sufficiently for stability?

The circular base is weighted to stabilise the tall slim stem and adjustable head. The lamp remains stable on bare floors and short-pile rugs when positioned upright, but may tip if knocked heavily or placed on thick shag rugs where the base cannot sit flat.
