Description
The Double Moon Orion is a 2-light floor lamp built around a vertical black metal column that suspends two smoked glass globes, one above the other, separated by brass-tone collars. Each globe houses an integrated LED light source, with the combined output delivering 1600 lumens at 3000K warm white. The lamp stands approximately 1.5m tall from a cylindrical black base, making it suitable for positioning next to seating or in corners where vertical accent lighting is needed.
Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and lounge areas, the Orion works as ambient lighting rather than task lighting, casting soft diffused light through the smoked glass in all directions. The lamp is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch, allowing the light level to be adjusted from full brightness down to a low glow for evening use. The inline foot switch on the cable provides on/off control without needing wall switching.
The smoked glass globes reduce glare while still showing the internal light structure, and the brass-tone collars at each globe junction add warmth against the matt black column. The cylindrical base measures approximately 150mm diameter, providing stability on carpet, timber and tiled floors without requiring additional weighting. The black metal finish resists fingerprints and scuffs better than gloss finishes, making it practical for high-traffic residential and hospitality settings.

Frequently Asked
Is the Orion dimmable?
Yes. The integrated LED is rated as dimmable and will work with most trailing-edge LED-compatible dimmer switches. Compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model, so check the dimmer manufacturer's compatibility list or test before permanent installation.
What height is the lamp?
The Orion stands approximately 1.5m tall from floor to top globe. The two globes are positioned at roughly mid-height and upper-height on the column, with the lower globe sitting at around waist height when the lamp is placed on the floor.
Can the globes be replaced?
The LED light source is integrated into the lamp structure. If the LED fails, the entire light module would need replacing rather than just a bulb. Integrated LEDs typically have a rated lifespan of 15,000-25,000 hours.
What rooms suit this lamp?
The Orion works best in living rooms, bedrooms, hotel lounges and reading corners where ambient lighting is needed. The 1600 lumens output is bright enough to light a seating area but not intense enough to serve as sole room lighting in larger spaces.
