Description

The ESP DBW2 is a white aluminium deep base designed for IP dome cameras, providing a 25mm cable entry point and additional depth for routing connections. The base measures 122mm in diameter and extends 44mm from the mounting surface, creating clearance for cable management behind dome cameras that would otherwise sit flush to the wall or ceiling.

Designed for use with ESP's HC528FDW 5MP and HC828FDW 8MP IP dome cameras, the deep base allows installers to conceal cable runs behind the camera body rather than surface-mounting conduit. The 25mm entry point accommodates standard IP camera network cables and power feeds, with internal routing space to coil excess cable length before connecting to the camera's rear terminals.

The aluminium construction provides structural support for dome cameras weighing up to 800g when mounted on exterior walls or ceilings exposed to weather. The white powder-coat finish matches the standard colour of ESP's dome camera housings, giving a continuous appearance when the camera is fitted. Four fixing points on the base allow secure attachment to masonry, timber or metal substrates using appropriate fixings (not supplied).

Which cameras is this base compatible with?

The deep base is designed for ESP's HC528FDW 5MP dome and HC828FDW 8MP dome cameras. It may fit other dome cameras with a similar footprint, but compatibility should be verified against the camera's base diameter and fixing point spacing before ordering.

What size cable does the 25mm entry accommodate?

The 25mm cable entry accepts standard IP camera network cables (Cat5e, Cat6) and typical 12V DC power cables. Multiple cables can pass through the same entry if the combined diameter does not exceed 25mm.

Can this be used outdoors?

Yes. The aluminium construction and powder-coat finish are suitable for exterior installation. However, the cable entry point should be sealed with suitable gland or grommet to prevent water ingress along the cable run.

Are fixing screws included?

No. Fixings are not supplied, as the appropriate screws, bolts or anchors depend on the mounting substrate (masonry, timber, metal). Four fixing points are provided on the base.
