Description
The Dip is a 15W LED recessed downlight with a white aluminium trim ring and an integrated LED module delivering 1600lm at 2700K colour temperature. The downlight fits into a ceiling void with a recessed housing and sits flush with the ceiling surface once installed, providing directed downward light through a 50° beam angle.
Designed for living rooms, kitchens, hallways and commercial spaces where warm-toned ceiling lighting is required, the downlight pairs ambient function with high colour rendering at CRI 90, making it suitable for areas where accurate colour perception matters - reading, cooking, or displaying artwork. The 50° beam provides a balance between focused task light and broader ambient coverage without creating sharp-edged pools of light on the floor.
The white aluminium trim gives a neutral appearance that works across painted ceilings in white, cream, light grey and off-white finishes. The heatsink visible in the recessed housing dissipates heat from the 15W LED module, keeping the fitting at safe operating temperature. The IP20 rating confirms this fitting is for dry interior use only and should not be installed in bathrooms, shower rooms or outdoor soffits where moisture is present.
The non-dimmable LED operates directly from 220-240V AC mains with no separate driver required, simplifying installation and reducing the number of components that can fail over the fitting's lifespan. The 1600lm output at 15W gives an efficacy of approximately 107lm per watt, positioning this as a cost-effective replacement for older 50-75W halogen downlights.

Frequently Asked
Is this downlight dimmable?
No. The integrated LED module operates at full output only and is not compatible with dimmer switches. If dimming is required, see other downlights in the Niori catalogue that specify dimmer compatibility.
What ceiling cut-out size is needed?
The cut-out diameter and depth depend on the recessed housing supplied with the fitting. This information is typically provided on the product packaging or in the installation guide. Contact us if you need the exact dimension before purchasing.
Can this be used in bathrooms?
No. The IP20 rating means this downlight is for dry interior use only. Bathrooms require IP44 or IP65 rated fittings depending on zone. See the bathroom lighting section of the Niori catalogue for suitable alternatives.
What colour temperature is 2700K?
2700K is a warm white colour temperature, similar to traditional incandescent or halogen bulbs. It produces a yellowish-white light that creates a warm, comfortable atmosphere in living spaces and bedrooms.
