Description

The Dip is a 15W LED recessed downlight with an integrated 1640-lumen warm white LED at 2700K, housed in a white aluminium bezel. The 50° beam angle provides general room lighting rather than narrow spotlighting, making it suitable for ambient illumination across living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and hallways. The 90 CRI rating ensures accurate colour rendering of furnishings and finishes.

Designed for installation into plasterboard ceilings with access from above, the fitting requires a recessed cavity depth to accommodate the heat sink and driver unit behind the ceiling line. The white bezel sits flush with the ceiling surface once installed, giving a clean, integrated appearance. The downlight operates on standard UK 220-240V mains and does not require external transformers or control gear beyond what is built into the unit.

The aluminium construction includes a finned heat sink visible in the product image, which dissipates the LED's operating heat into the ceiling void. The white powder-coated finish on the visible bezel matches standard white ceilings and pairs neutrally with both contemporary and traditional interiors. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations - it is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor soffits.

This downlight is not dimmable. The 2700K colour temperature produces warm white light similar to traditional incandescent bulbs, rather than the cooler blue-white tone of higher Kelvin ratings. No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. The light is either on at full 1640-lumen output or off.

What ceiling depth is required for installation?
