Description
The Dip is a 10W LED recessed downlight with a white aluminium trim ring, delivering 1130 lumens of 2700K warm white light through a 50° beam angle. The integrated LED provides CRI90 colour rendering, which reveals furniture finishes, fabrics and wall colours more accurately than standard CRI80 downlights. Rated at IP20, the fitting suits general residential and commercial interiors where moisture exposure is minimal.
Designed for ceiling heights of 2.4-3m in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and retail spaces, the downlight provides a balance of ambient and accent lighting. The 50° beam angle sits between narrow spot and wide flood distributions, making it suitable for general ceiling layouts at 1.5-2m spacing as well as highlighting specific areas like artwork or kitchen worktops. The white trim ring blends with white and light-painted ceilings, and the shallow 85mm recessed depth accommodates most ceiling voids and joists.
The aluminium construction and heat sink visible at the rear dissipate operating heat, extending the LED lifespan. The 2700K colour temperature produces a warm glow comparable to traditional halogen downlights, avoiding the cooler daylight tones that can feel clinical in residential settings. The fitting connects directly to 220-240V AC mains without requiring a separate driver or transformer, and uses spring clips for tool-free installation into ceiling cut-outs. This model is non-dimmable.

Frequently Asked
Is this downlight dimmable?
No. This model does not support dimmer switches. Attempting to connect it to a dimming circuit may cause flickering or damage to the LED driver.
What cut-out size is required?
recessed downlights in this range typically require a 75-90mm diameter ceiling cut-out. Check the packaging or installation guide for the exact dimension for this model before cutting into the ceiling.
Can this be used in bathrooms?
The IP20 rating means it is not protected against moisture ingress. It should only be installed in dry zones outside bathroom splash areas and not within zones 1, 2 or 3 as defined by UK wiring regulations.
What does CRI90 mean?
CRI90 is a colour rendering index score of 90 out of 100, indicating that the light reveals colours more accurately than standard CRI80 downlights. This matters in spaces where fabric colours, wood tones or artwork need to look natural rather than washed out.
