Description

The Lens is a 12W LED recessed downlight with an integrated warm white 3000K LED producing 830 lumens through a white aluminium bezel. The downlight carries an IP44 rating, making it suitable for bathrooms (zones 2 and 3) and kitchen areas where moisture protection is needed but full waterproofing is not required.

Designed for residential and commercial installation in standard ceiling voids with at least 100mm clearance above the ceiling line, the downlight fits a typical 90-100mm ceiling aperture and is held in place by spring clips. The 70-degree beam angle provides general area lighting rather than focused spotlighting, covering approximately 2-3m² per fitting when mounted at standard 2.4m ceiling height.

The white aluminium body dissipates heat efficiently, extending the LED lifespan and maintaining stable light output. The 90 CRI rating reproduces colours accurately, making the downlight suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, hallways and utility rooms where true colour rendering matters. The fitting runs on 220-240V mains and is not dimmable.

Can this be used in bathrooms?

Yes. The IP44 rating provides protection against water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 (outside the shower enclosure and 60cm+ from the bath edge). It is not rated for installation directly above a bath or inside a shower enclosure.

What ceiling void depth is needed?

A minimum 100mm clearance above the ceiling line is required to accommodate the fitting body and allow adequate ventilation around the LED driver. The spring clips that hold the downlight in place also need clearance to expand.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. If dimming is required, consider a dimmable variant or a different model in the range.

What size aperture does it need?

The downlight fits a standard 90-100mm circular ceiling aperture. Check the manufacturer's installation guide for the exact cut-out diameter before making the ceiling aperture.
