Description

The Lens is a 12W LED recessed downlight with an integrated tiltable head set in a black aluminium trim ring. The fitting produces 760 lumens at 3000K through a 70° beam angle, giving warm white light with a 90 CRI colour rendering index that reproduces skin tones and fabric colours accurately.

Designed for recessed installation in ceilings, the IP44 rating makes this downlight suitable for bathrooms (zones 2 and 3), kitchens, utility rooms and covered outdoor soffits where moisture protection is required. The tiltable head allows the light to be angled towards walls, artwork or specific task areas rather than fixed downward only. The fitting requires a ceiling void depth of approximately 100mm for the driver and housing.

The black aluminium trim sits flush with the ceiling surface once installed, providing a low-profile finish that suits contemporary, industrial and dark-toned interiors. The 12W LED is non-dimmable and runs on standard UK mains 220-240V. At 760 lumens the output is comparable to a 60W halogen downlight but with significantly lower running costs and heat output.

Can this downlight be used in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP44 rating provides splash protection, making it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 (areas 60cm or more away from the bath or shower enclosure). It is not rated for zone 1 (directly above a bath or inside a shower enclosure).

Is the head adjustable?

Yes. The LED head tilts within the trim ring, allowing the beam to be angled towards walls, artwork or task areas rather than pointing straight down. The exact tilt range depends on the installation depth.

What ceiling void depth is required?

Approximately 100mm of ceiling void depth is needed to accommodate the LED driver and housing behind the trim. Check the physical clearance in your ceiling before ordering.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated 12W LED is non-dimmable. If dimming is required, consider a different model from the range designed for dimmer compatibility.
