Description

The Dip is a 15W recessed LED downlight with an integrated warm white LED delivering 1480 lumens at 2700K through a black aluminium trim ring. The fitting sits flush with the ceiling once installed, with only the trim ring and central lens visible from below. The 50° beam angle provides mid-width spread suitable for general ceiling lighting in rooms up to 12-15m².

Designed for residential and commercial ceiling recessing, the downlight requires a minimum ceiling void depth of approximately 100mm to accommodate the driver and heat sink assembly above the plasterboard line. The black aluminium trim fits ceiling apertures typically 80-90mm diameter and provides a low-profile ring around the lens that pairs with dark ceilings, black joinery and industrial interiors. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations away from bathroom zones and external soffits.

The 90 CRI rating means colours under this light render more accurately than under standard 80 CRI LEDs, which matters in kitchens, retail spaces and anywhere fabric or paint colour needs to be judged under artificial light. The aluminium construction acts as a passive heat sink, dispersing the LED module's thermal load into the ceiling cavity without requiring active cooling. The fitting is non-dimmable and runs directly on 220-240V mains without requiring a separate transformer.

The fitting requires approximately 100mm ceiling void depth above the plasterboard to house the driver, heat sink and LED module. The visible trim ring sits flush with the ceiling surface once installed.

Can this downlight be dimmed?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. If dimming is required, consider a dimmable variant from the downlight range or contact us for alternative recommendations.

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is not water-resistant and cannot be installed in bathroom zones or any location where moisture or splashing is present. For bathrooms, look for downlights rated IP44 or higher.
