Description

The Dip is a 15W LED recessed downlight with a black aluminium trim and a deep-set light source that produces 1490 lumens at 2700K warm white. The integrated LED sits behind a honeycomb louvre visible in the aperture, which controls beam spread to a focused 50° angle and reduces glare from direct viewing angles.

Designed for residential and commercial ceiling installation, the downlight suits living rooms, hallways, kitchens and retail spaces where targeted accent lighting or general illumination is needed without pendant or surface-mounted fittings. The recessed format keeps the ceiling line clean and the black trim blends into dark ceilings or provides contrast against white. The 90 CRI rating renders colours accurately, making the fitting suitable for spaces where colour-critical tasks take place or where artwork and interiors need to be shown faithfully.

The aluminium housing includes an integrated heat sink visible in the product image as vertical fins above the LED module, which dissipates heat passively without requiring active cooling or noisy fans. The fitting is IP20 rated for dry indoor locations only and is not dimmable. Installation requires a standard recessed ceiling void and mains 220-240V AC connection via a qualified electrician.

Is this downlight dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is not compatible with dimmer switches. Attempting to dim the fitting may cause flickering or damage to the driver circuit.

What ceiling void depth is required?

Recessed downlights typically require a minimum 100-120mm ceiling void depth to accommodate the driver and heat sink assembly above the ceiling line. Check the full specification sheet or contact us for exact dimensions before cutting ceiling apertures.

Can this be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is not protected against moisture ingress and must only be installed in dry indoor locations. For bathroom use, look for downlights rated IP44 or higher.

What colour temperature is 2700K?

2700K is a warm white light, similar to the tone produced by traditional incandescent bulbs. It sits at the warmer end of the white spectrum and pairs well with residential interiors, hospitality spaces and warm-toned décor.
