Description

The Dip is a 10W LED recessed downlight with a black aluminium bezel, delivering 1120 lumens of warm white 3000K light through a 50° beam angle. The integrated LED produces a high 90 CRI output, which accurately renders colours and is particularly suited to hospitality, retail and residential interiors where accurate colour representation matters.

Designed for ceiling installation in living rooms, hallways, kitchens and commercial spaces, the downlight sits flush with the ceiling surface once recessed into the ceiling void. The trimless black bezel provides a minimalist finish that blends into dark ceilings or provides a defined dark accent on white ceilings. The 50° beam angle balances spread and focus, providing coverage for general ambient lighting without creating harsh shadows or over-bright hotspots directly beneath the fitting.

The aluminium body and integral heat-sink manage the 10W LED's thermal load, extending the lifespan of the light source and maintaining consistent output over time. The black powder-coated finish on the aluminium is resistant to scuffing and discolouration. At 1120 lumens, the downlight provides enough output to light a 3-4m² area when used as part of a grid or to accent a specific zone when used individually. The fitting carries an IP20 rating, confirming it is suitable for dry indoor use.

Is this downlight dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. For dimmable downlights, please filter the downlights category by 'Dimmable: Yes'.

What ceiling void depth is required?

Most recessed LED downlights require a minimum 100-120mm ceiling void depth to accommodate the body and heat-sink. Please check the technical drawing in the Downloads section or contact us for exact cut-out dimensions before ordering.

Can this be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating confirms this downlight is suitable for dry indoor use only. It is not rated for bathroom zones where moisture or water ingress is possible. For bathroom installation, look for downlights rated IP44 or higher.

What does 90 CRI mean?

CRI (Colour Rendering Index) measures how accurately a light source renders colours compared to natural daylight. A 90 CRI rating means this downlight reproduces colours very accurately, which is useful in kitchens, retail displays and anywhere colour-matching matters.
