Description

The Dip is a 10W LED recessed downlight built into a matt black aluminium housing with an integrated heat sink and a deep-set 50° reflector. The LED module delivers 1100 lumens at 2700K warm white with a 90 CRI colour rendering index, making it suitable for residential spaces where accurate colour perception matters such as dressing rooms, kitchens and living areas.

Designed for new-build ceiling installations or retrofitting into existing ceiling voids with sufficient depth for the fitting and driver, the downlight requires a ceiling cut-out and connection to mains 220-240V AC supply via the included driver. The 50° beam angle provides focused ambient light suitable for general room lighting when spaced at 1.5-2m intervals, or for accent lighting when highlighting specific areas such as artwork, shelving or worktops.

The matt black aluminium body and heat sink dissipate LED heat without requiring a fan, keeping the fitting silent during operation. The deep-set reflector minimises glare when viewed from typical standing or seated positions in the room. The IP20 rating confirms the fitting is suitable for dry indoor environments but not for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor use. This downlight is non-dimmable and operates at fixed 10W output on mains switching.

No. The Dip operates at fixed 10W output on standard mains switching and is not compatible with dimmer switches.

What ceiling depth is required for installation?

Recessed downlights typically require 80-120mm ceiling void depth to accommodate the fitting body, heat sink and driver. Check the product packaging or contact us for the exact fitting depth before cutting the ceiling.

Can this be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is suitable for dry indoor environments only. Bathrooms and wet rooms require IP44 or higher rated fittings depending on zone placement.

What colour temperature is 2700K?

2700K produces a warm white light similar to traditional incandescent or halogen bulbs, with a slight yellow-orange cast. It suits living rooms, bedrooms and dining areas where a warmer, more relaxed atmosphere is preferred over the cooler white of daylight-temperature LEDs.
