Our ceramic olpe vase takes its shape from the classic single-handled jug, with a rounded body that tapers gently towards a slim neck and open pouring lip. Standing 35cm tall and 28cm across, it has the presence of a floor or console piece without feeling heavy in the hand. The white glaze has a soft, slightly matte finish that catches the light without shine, and the smooth ceramic surface shows the subtle curve of the thrown form. It is one of those vases that reads as sculptural whether or not anything sits inside it.

The generous body holds tall stems with ease, so it suits armfuls of eucalyptus, pampas, dried grasses or long branches of blossom. The narrower neck helps gather stems into a natural, loose arrangement rather than letting them splay.
