Description

The Lens is a 12W LED surface spotlight housed in a white powder-coated aluminium cylinder with an adjustable head that rotates and tilts to direct light where needed. The integrated LED produces 1155 lumens at 3000K warm white with a 70° beam angle, providing directional accent lighting or focused task illumination from a ceiling-mounted position.

Designed for hallways, kitchens, retail displays, galleries and living rooms where adjustable ceiling light is needed without recessing into the ceiling structure, the spotlight mounts directly onto the ceiling surface using the circular base plate. The head pivots on a ball joint, allowing the beam to be angled towards artwork, worktops, doorways or architectural features after installation. The 70° beam spread is wide enough to illuminate a 1.5-2m diameter area from a standard 2.4m ceiling height.

The white powder-coated aluminium finish resists discolouration and pairs cleanly with white or light-coloured ceilings without creating visual weight. The 90 CRI rating ensures colours render accurately under the light, which is useful for display lighting or tasks requiring colour judgment. The non-dimmable driver operates on standard 220-240V mains and the IP20 rating confines use to dry indoor locations.

Is the spotlight head adjustable after installation?

Yes. The cylindrical head rotates and tilts on a ball joint built into the ceiling plate, allowing the beam direction to be adjusted by hand after the fitting is powered and mounted. This makes it useful for accent lighting where the target area may change over time.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is suitable only for dry indoor locations with no water exposure. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher rated fittings in zones near water sources.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver is non-dimmable. Connecting it to a dimmer switch may cause flickering or damage to the driver.

What ceiling cutout is required?

None. This is a surface-mounted spotlight that fixes directly onto the ceiling surface using the circular base plate. No recessing or ceiling cutout is needed, which makes it suitable for solid ceilings where recessed downlights cannot be installed.
