Description

This ceiling light features a grey aluminium dome shade with an integrated 12W LED producing 684 lumens at 3000K warm white. The flush-mount profile sits close to the ceiling with a projection of approximately 100mm, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low. The dome shade directs all light downward in a 180-degree beam angle.

Designed for hallways, utility rooms, small bedrooms and bathrooms (IP20 rated for dry locations only), the fitting provides general ambient lighting across spaces up to 8-10m². The sealed LED unit inside the dome cannot be replaced, so the entire fitting is replaced at end-of-life, typically after 15,000-25,000 hours of operation depending on usage patterns. The grey finish pairs cleanly with neutral, industrial and Scandinavian interiors.

The aluminium construction gives the fitting a lightweight 0.8-1kg weight that can be mounted directly to a standard UK ceiling rose without additional reinforcement. The 220-240V AC mains supply connects via an UK terminal block inside the ceiling canopy. The non-dimmable driver means the light operates at full 12W output when switched on, with no flicker or warm-up delay typical of older fluorescent fittings.

Is this suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The flush-mount design projects approximately 100mm from the ceiling, making it appropriate for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where pendant lights would hang too low.

Can the LED be replaced?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced separately. When the LED reaches end-of-life (typically 15,000-25,000 hours), the entire fitting is replaced.

Is it dimmable?

No. The driver is non-dimmable, so the light operates at full 12W output when switched on. Installing this on a dimmer circuit may cause flicker or driver failure.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating means the fitting is suitable for dry locations only. It cannot be installed within bathroom zones requiring IP44 or higher (zones 1-3). It may be used outside these zones where no water splashing occurs.
