Description

The Aros is a flush-mount LED ceiling light with a curved aluminium body finished in copper and an integrated 12W 3000K LED light source. The 180-degree beam angle distributes 689 lumens across the underside of the fitting, providing general ambient illumination without visible bulbs or downward glare.

Designed for rooms with standard or low ceiling heights where pendant fittings cannot be accommodated, the Aros sits close to the ceiling surface with minimal projection. The flush-mount format suits hallways, landings, bedrooms, home offices and bathrooms outside wet zones (IP20 rating). The copper finish on the aluminium body adds warm metallic tone to interiors without requiring polishing or maintenance.

The curved profile of the fitting diffuses light outward and downward through the lower aperture, softening shadows across the room. The 80 CRI rating provides adequate colour rendering for general residential tasks. The fitting is not dimmable and operates on standard UK 230V mains via a ceiling rose connection. The aluminium construction keeps the weight low for ceiling mounting on plasterboard or solid ceilings.

Is the Aros suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The flush-mount design sits close to the ceiling surface with minimal downward projection, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or below where pendant fittings would hang too low.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating means the fitting is not protected against moisture ingress. It can be used in bathrooms outside zones 0, 1 and 2 (typically above 2.25m from the bath or shower tray), but not directly above or near water sources.

Is the LED replaceable?

The 12W LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED lifespan is typically 15,000-25,000 hours depending on usage patterns.

What colour temperature does it produce?

The integrated LED is rated at 3000K, which produces a warm white light similar to halogen bulbs, suitable for living spaces and bedrooms.
