Description

The Floeva is a 580lm LED bollard light built around a vertical black metal column with integrated 9W 3000K LED panels. The light source sits behind clear acrylic panels on two opposing faces, casting a controlled 86° beam angle forward and backward along the path while minimising spill light into adjacent planting or windows.

Designed for residential pathways, driveways, garden borders and commercial external walkways, the bollard delivers warm white task lighting at ground level. The IP65 rating protects against water jets from any direction and dust ingress, making it suitable for year-round UK outdoor use including locations with heavy rain or groundwater splash. The black powder-coated metal housing resists corrosion and blends into darker paving, gravel and low-level planting schemes.

The integrated LED is rated at 9W with an 80 CRI, delivering enough colour accuracy for planting and hard landscaping to read naturally under evening light. The 3000K colour temperature provides a warmer tone than security-focused 4000K bollards, making it more comfortable for residential settings where the lighting is visible from living spaces. The non-dimmable LED runs on 220-240V AC mains via IP-rated cable burial or surface conduit.

Can this be installed in a flowerbed that gets heavy rain?

Yes. The IP65 rating protects the bollard against water jets from any direction, including sustained rain, puddles and splash from irrigation or groundwater. The housing must still be installed upright on a stable base to prevent the light filling with pooled water at the internal base.

What's the beam angle, and does it light upwards?

The 86° beam angle projects light forward and backward along the path from the two opposing faces. There is minimal upward spill - the light is designed for ground-level task lighting rather than feature uplighting of walls or foliage.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated LED runs at fixed output on 220-240V mains. Dimmer compatibility would require an external control system rated for outdoor LED loads, which is not supported by the manufacturer for this model.

How is it wired?

The bollard requires a mains 220-240V AC supply via IP-rated outdoor cable, either buried in conduit or run through surface-mounted exterior trunking. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician to meet BS 7671 wiring regulations for exterior lighting circuits.
